Pitiful baby

I haven't written in awhile because we have been dealing with a virus. Poor Lily Belle, it just always seems like there is one thing after another after another. It's totally draining and this virus is no exception. It started out with a fever of 102.6 and that's scary enough. When Lily has a fever we have to give her "stress doses" of her hydrocortisone until the fever breaks. When average people are sick they produce more cortisol to help fight the fever and what not so we have to provide that for Lily. The fever didn't break for 3 days. We also had the added worry of any seizures, but that's just always in the back of our mind.
During all this Lily was is also teething. Her top molars have come through on the top but now she's working on the bottom ones :( Poor baby! She has been so whiny, so needy, so clingy and in a state of unhappiness that I have never seen her in. It seemed like nothing would make her happy. And as you can see in the above picture, she spent a lot of the time napping in my arms because regular naps just wouldn't do. Then she'd wake up at least 5-6 times at night. And now we're on a bad schedule and she gets overly tired by 6pm and has to be in bed before 6:30 or there is constant crying. I now have to wait for a day with a good nap to keep her up a little later because she is waking up in the morning around 5-6am which is not okay with me!

I think she is finally over the virus but now we're just left with teething...yay. Hopefully we can get things back to normal and hold it there for a moment or two instead of leaping from one catastrophe to another.
