Governor Morehead Preschool

Another thing that is new in our lives - Preschool! And not the kind you're thinking of. Lily Belle started "preschool" at GMP last Friday. This is really a two year old classroom setting of playgroup that we used to do. There are only 3 kids - though LB was the only one there last week. It was only an hour the first day but they plan on stretching it out for 2 hours and eventually have me leave her there for those hours. (eeek!) I probably won't go far, maybe to go get a coffee and read a book? Who knows!? The only bad part is that she ages out in December :-(

Three teachers to one kiddo this day! Crazy!
They bring out a "box of choices" for LB which consisted of balls, kitchen, cars, blocks and coloring. She chose kitchen first.

She was definitely more shy than I had ever seen her but GMP just moved buildings and all the teachers are new to her. I think she only said a few words the whole hour! It will be interesting to see how she does this week with another kid around. Miss Amy said they have her IFSP goals which mainly focus on getting her socially ready for school and letting her do more things on her to work on her "self help" issues.
